Dog people

It is a well known fact that I am NOT a dog person in any way, shape or form. It's not like I don't like dogs. It's more of the situation that I refuse to walk a dog with a bag and a scoop and pick up its waste. Are you kidding me? Since that would be the reality since I do not live in the sprawling country and could allow the dog to fertilize the earth, a pooper scooper would be a must in the burbs or a city setting. Plus, I just do not have the time to commit to a dog for its exercise when my own exercise is much more important and would not try to ever compromise my or my family life with a dog. I laugh when people work and go out 12-16hrs a day and leave their dog at home to experience mental and physical decline. It's pretty sad, actually. Anyway, I titled this post "dog people" since I don't understand you people. I was driving this morning and saw TWO people with dogs on their laps interfering with their arms as they were driving. These stupid people were letting the dog climb on them and I would just look over and have a look of utter disbelief? Where are the Five0 when you need them? Is that even illegal? It should be! Sheesh, they pull someone over for having a stupid air freshener hanging too low on their rearview mirror, but some moron can have a dog jumping on them like it's playtime and that's ok? Dog people, wake up!

Dogs are cool. What are you gonna do if your kid gets older and wants a dog? And how would owning a dog compromise your family?

@shqipo,
you have finally seen the light. :p

@dave,
i agree. dogs are cool. if my kid wants a dog, i will simply and with ZERO reservation in my voice and on my face say it in as many languages as she will speak, "NO", but we know people who have dogs and she can visit. If you refer back to my post, you will see my reasoning for how owning a dog compromises my family time.....

@ophelia,
thanks for checking in and welcome to my blog. :p

You are so full of hate. Let go of your hate.

Your classification for Dog People is too wide. I would categorized a dog person as someone who lets their dog lick their lips. That kind of insanity is just down right nasty. But owning a dog is a wonderful thing. They are great animals. You do know that babies are essentially like dogs that learn to speak. Some people would call you a crazy breeder. Filling the already overpopulated world with more people is selfish they would say. They would also say that sacrificing your time and money and most importantly, your freedom to raise something that has the ability to Cry for 3 hours straight is the definition of Insane. My point is you need to get a little perspective and understanding when it comes to the eccentricities of others. Because you are also held under that magnifying glass.

And for you kids sake, get her a dog. At the very least you could give her a hamster.

Wow. You won't let your kid have a dog? Get ready to hear this a whole bunch: "I hate you, dad!"

@D,
I'm full of hate? Uh....ok. YOUR classification for dog people is one that people are proud to be a part of everyday...the whole letting the dog lick their lips...happens everyday.

For you to say that baby humans are like dogs shows how advanced your processing is....nuff said on that ridiculous and insulting (to humans) analogy.

People can call me a crazy breeder. I've been called worse and being help under a microscope really changes nothing I do in my life....Next.

I'm sure my kid(s) will not grow up deprived by not having a dog that I would end up taking care of anyway....That whole food, shelter, spending quantity time and college fund thing would probably outweigh a four-legged friend....

@dave,
I doubt it...

It is hard enough taking care of a kid...

Josue' said...

phun,
stop acting like you have a child or something... :p

I can hear it now in the blogosphere, "And because I don't have a kid, that means I just cannot understand?!" Not really...Remind me when there becomes more than 24hrs in a day..

I'm not "Has-a-child-and-you-just
-do-not-understand-GUY"....
That's a lame slant, so don't even think it...

Josue, where did that come from ? I'm scratching my head here. Nice assumption; I don't think you understood what I meant. I wasn't too fond of dogs even before I had a child, so that doesn't change how I feel about dogs inside the home or around children. "Hard enough taking care of a kid" has nothing to do with me being a parent. Taking care of a kid is probably easier than taking care of a dog. I always thought about this years ago even before thinking about being a dad. You can teach a kid to take care of themself, eventually they'll learn and grow up. A dog will always need you to do something for them like scooping their poop, or dumping some food into a bowl for them, some dogs will lick your crotch, you gotta bring them to the doctor, communication with dogs sucks. A child will grow up and would learn to do all of these things themself (*chuckle*). Plus, if you have a kid AND a dog, you've got twice the work to take care of them and clean them up. There is a lot more you gotta do, but I'm not going to write an essay on this post. Obviously you don't have to be a parent to have figured that one out. Some people like dogs, some people don't. Everyone has their opinion. I'm just not crazy about dogs.

relax phun,
i was being facetious w/my comment to you..hence, the [:p] face...and by blogosphere, i meant one of the primos might take that slant on me by saying that just because I have a child and they do not, then my opinion is more valid ....which, by saying I am NOT "Has-a-child-and-you-just
-do-not-understand-GUY" is where I was going.

You feel me?

Archaic processing, huh?

I suggest you use your vocabulary correctly unless you believe that by owning a dog you will expose your family to danger.
